Nordhaus Craft, a business owned and operated by Michael Sharvit in Ofakim, Israel ("Nordhaus", "we", "us"), respects the privacy of visitors and customers using nordhauscraft.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, with whom it may be shared, how it is protected, and the choices and rights available to you.

Geographic scope: Nordhaus currently offers sales, fulfilment and delivery within the State of Israel only. The Site may be viewed from other countries, but orders cannot be placed for delivery outside Israel.

1. Who is responsible for the information

Nordhaus Craft is the controller of personal information collected in connection with the business activities described in this Policy. We use iStores to operate the Site and engage additional service providers that act for us or provide independent services, as described below.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity and contact details: name, telephone number, email address, delivery address and billing address.
  • Order and service information: selected products, quantities, prices, delivery method, order status, service requests, cancellations, returns and communications with us.
  • Customer account information: registration details, order history and preferences stored in the account, where you choose to create one.
  • Corporate enquiries: organisation, role, gifting requirements, quantities, budget, requested date and information supplied in a quotation or corporate-gift enquiry.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, access times, pages and actions on the Site, referral source, cookie identifiers, error information and security data.
  • Marketing preferences: email address and communication choices where you ask to receive news or marketing content.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive information that is not required for a purchase or service. Please avoid including such information in free-text fields or messages.

3. Providing information — your choice and operational necessity

You are not legally required to provide personal information through the Site, and doing so is generally voluntary. However, information marked as required—including your name, contact details, delivery address and information required for payment—is necessary to complete an order, deliver the products, issue legally required documents or respond to an enquiry. Without it, we may be unable to provide the requested service.

4. How we use information

We use information, as applicable, to:

  • receive and confirm orders, collect payment, fulfil purchases and track delivery;
  • manage customer accounts, customer service, cancellations, returns, warranties and technical issues;
  • prepare corporate-gift proposals and match products to stated requirements;
  • issue invoices, receipts and records required by law;
  • secure the Site, prevent fraud, detect misuse and protect the rights of Nordhaus and its customers;
  • measure Site performance and improve the customer experience, catalogue and service;
  • send service communications concerning an order or enquiry; and
  • send marketing communications or editorial content only in accordance with your consent and applicable law.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by external payment providers and payment methods made available at checkout. Payment credentials are submitted directly to the relevant provider and processed under its terms, privacy policy and applicable law. As a general rule, Nordhaus does not receive or store the full payment-card number or security code. We may receive a transaction approval, amount, partial or masked payment details, transaction identifier and information required to process a payment, refund or enquiry.

6. Cookies and measurement tools

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the cart, saved preferences, security and checkout. Others may be used for audience measurement, performance analysis and marketing, subject to the choices offered through the Site's cookie controls and applicable law.

You can adjust your cookie choices through the Site's settings and your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from functioning correctly.

7. When information may be shared

We may share only the information reasonably required with service providers supporting the Store, including:

  • iStores and hosting, cloud, technical-support and information-security providers;
  • payment processors, banks and payment services;
  • Israel Post, couriers and delivery providers for fulfilment within Israel;
  • accounting, document-production, email, communications and customer-support providers;
  • analytics and advertising providers, in accordance with your cookie choices and applicable law; and
  • professional advisers, insurers and competent authorities where required by law, legal process or the protection of rights.

We do not sell personal information to third parties. Providers receiving information are expected to use it for the relevant service and in accordance with applicable law and their contractual obligations.

8. Processing or transfers outside Israel

Although sales and delivery are limited to Israel, certain technology, cloud, payment, email or analytics providers may process or store information outside Israel. Such transfers will be made in accordance with applicable law and, where appropriate, subject to contractual safeguards or other suitable protections.

9. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide service, resolve disputes, maintain security, protect legal rights and comply with tax, accounting and other legal retention requirements. Marketing information is retained until you opt out or while there remains a lawful purpose for keeping it. At the end of the relevant period, information will be deleted, anonymised or retained in a restricted form where the law requires continued retention.

10. Information security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure, and rely on iStores and professional service providers. No online system is completely secure. If we become aware of a suspected information-security incident, we will investigate, seek to limit harm and make any notification required by applicable law.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may contact us to request access to personal information held about you and ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date. Requests for deletion or restriction will be considered in light of applicable law, the purpose of retention and our obligations. We may therefore be unable to delete information required for transaction records, accounting, fraud prevention or the protection of legal rights.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, email nordhauscraft@outlook.com. To protect personal information, we may request reasonable information to verify the identity of the person making the request.

12. Marketing communications

Marketing communications are sent only in accordance with consent and applicable law. You may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting us. Even after opting out of marketing, we may continue to send service communications required for an order, payment, delivery or enquiry.

13. Minors

The Site is not intended to collect information knowingly from children. A purchase by a person under 18 is subject to the approval of a parent or legal guardian and the Site terms. If you believe that a minor has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us and we will consider the request in accordance with applicable law.

14. Third-party sites and services

The Site may contain links to or components supplied by third parties. Their use is governed by the privacy policies and terms of those parties, which we recommend reviewing separately.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy following changes in law, our services or the operation of the Site. The current version will be posted on this page with its revision date. Material changes will be presented in an appropriate manner where required.
